Prices of Persian and Himalayan Kittens
If you have come to this page, it is most likely because you want to learn about the prices of our Persian and Himalayan kittens.
There is no one set price that applies to all kittens, colors, or gender. As you very well know, each kitten is entirely unique
We set the prices on an individual basis. Many contributing factors go into pricing a kitten. I can tell you some top deciding factors for us here are:
1.) The rarity of the coat color.
2.) The kitten’s facial structure.
3.) Our willingness to keep that kitten back here as a future breeder.
Our Prices start at $3000 and go up from there due to the sensitive nature involved in bringing these exquisite treasures into the world. Know these prices come with honesty, integrity, and 32 years of knowledgeable expertise. If there is even the slightest cosmetic flaw in one of our kittens, we will disclose that information to our clients and make the appropriate price adjustment. We know buying on the Internet can be very scary, and we want our customers to know your hard-earned money and heart is safe with us.
Raising animals in an impeccably clean living environment results in very healthy pets however that does come with MUCH higher living costs, more than one could ever imagine.
Some color patterns are much harder to achieve than others, therefore, their prices are higher.
Personality is a key component! It goes without even saying the health of our kittens is our number one top priority!!!! But all too often cat breeders can get lost in the beauty, or quote the “standards”, the rules that are set forth for Persian cat breeders. What color eyes that kitty is supposed to have or the “correct” coat color, tail & leg length and in all those rules of trying to build the perfect-looking Persian they lose sight of the personality. Somehow, greener eyes become more important than if the cat actually likes to be touched. NOT HERE!!! We strive for the healthiest cats a human being can possibly breed and next in line, the friendliest cats a human being can possibly breed!!! I think that is why we have been in business for 32 years. We can fine-tune the looks after health and personality have been perfected.
Placing a security deposit is the ONLY way to hold/secure a kitten. Security deposits hold the kitten for 48 hours ONLY, after this period full payment is due unless otherwise arranged with the seller.
All deposits are taken in good faith and are non-refundable unless we refuse or cancel the sale.
The Purchasing Process
Once you have selected your dream kitten or kittens, you will need to fill out the online kitten application; if approved, we will send you an invoice to secure that kitten. This holding deposit is non-refundable and takes the kitten off the market for any additional customers.
It holds your kitten for 48 hours of which you have to pay the remaining balance via bank wire transfer or cashier’s check. (Cashier’s check must be mailed in ten days prior to picking up your kitten due to fake checks in the past.)
We do not accept the total balance via Paypal or Venmo.
The kitten must be paid in full prior to leaving OUR HOME. We do not deliver kittens to the airport for customers to pay in cash.
If you are paying in cash, your kitten must be picked up here in Unionville, Missouri. The holding deposit for clients paying in cash is $500. This deposit is also non-refundable and holds your kitten for a period of five days.
Once your deposit is paid, we will set up your contract and send that to you via email. Bank wiring instructions are on the contract.
Speaking of personality, as they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words”. You can tell so much about a kitten in a photo, as you are looking through our available kittens we invite you to look deeply into their photos displayed. Look into their eyes, look at their personality, you can see it if you really look. This is true for other breeders kittens as well. You can really get a feel for who that kitten is. Is he or she loved? Cared for? Do they have trust in their eyes? Or fear?
Look closely! While we always write a little bio telling people about each available kitten, the pictures also tell their own story and you can get to know that kitten simply by looking into their soul. Personality is so important. We don’t raise cats to win ribbons here at our cattery, we raise family companions.
Each and every breeder on the Internet has its pricing schedule; this is widely in part because each of us takes into consideration how much we pour into our kitties and their lifestyle as well as the colors we have to offer. We, cat breeders, give up a huge part of our personal lives so that we can offer you kittens to choose from. It is like running a kitten daycare center and you can never be away from your home for more than a day or so, so family vacations and such are not an option for we cat breeders, at least not for us since we are so very dedicated to our cattery.
One critical aspect to be aware of are the classified ad sites that display Persian and Himalayan kittens for under $500. Nine times out of ten, these are overseas scammers. They steal pictures off cat breeder websites and in some cases will go so far as to copy and paste our very own actual words, descriptions, ect.
They make the ad look very legit, but one little thing is different, they use their e-mail address.
You, as a potential customer, contact the person believing they own the kitten(s) in the photo/advertisement. After all, how would you know that isn’t the breeder’s actual e-mail address?
They set up Yahoo & Hotmail accounts that are free and quickly disposable. One sure-fire way to know the ad is fake, they list apparent high-quality kittens for under $500 so that you will feel like you are getting an astonishing kitty at a rock bottom price.
Remember what your mama always told you, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!” (Read more about online scammers HERE.)
Keep in mind when contacting a cat breeder. You come to them with a desire to own one of “their babies” & most likely a large piece of their heart, offending them with lowball offers will mostly guarantee they will exercise their right to refuse sale and NOT sell to you at all. Even humane societies and animal shelters charge $150- $250 for a cat or kitten.
I hope the information on this page has helped shed some light on the prices of our kittens.
Each kitten’s price is listed on its own individual page.
