Prices of Persian and Himalayan Kittens
If you have come to this page, it is most likely because you want to learn about the prices of our Persian and Himalayan kittens.
There is not one set price that applies to all kittens, colors or gender.
The prices are set on an individual basis. Many contributing factors go into pricing a kitten. I know three of the top deciding factors for us here are:
1.) The rarity of the coat color
2.) Facial Structure
3.) Our willingness to keep that kitten back here as a future breeder.
Our Prices start at $2500 and go up from there due to the sensitive nature involved in bringing these tiny treasures into the world.
Colors & Size
Some colors & sizes are more in demand at different times of the year also.
While we do occasionally get some standard colors we primarily strive for unique, one-of-a-kind creations that are often thought of as a “Living Art Picasso”.
Through the years we have fine-tuned a particular facial structure that sets our kittens apart from many others on the Internet.
This signature look melts the heart of even a hardcore dog lover!
Each and every breeder on the Internet has their pricing schedule; this is widely in part because each of us takes into consideration how much we pour into our kitties and their lifestyle as well as the colors we have to offer. We cat breeders give up a huge part of our personal lives so that we can offer you kittens to choose from. It is like running a kitten daycare center and you can never be away from your home for more than a day or so, so family vacations and such are not an option for we cat breeders.
Sometimes you may run into a cat breeder who has their kittens priced at $500 – $700 each, however, they can only produce a couple of colors like say, blues, and blacks.
The more colors a breeder offers, the higher the price of his or her kittens because the overhead costs are, of course, higher.
One critical aspect to be aware of are the classified ad sites that display Persian and Himalayan kittens for under $500. Nine times out of ten, these are overseas scammers. They steal pictures off cat breeder website’s and in some cases will go so far as to copy and paste our very own actual words, descriptions, ect.
They make the ad look very legit, but one little thing is different, they use their e-mail address.
You, as a potential customer, contact the person believing they own the kitten(s) in the photo/advertisement. After all, how would you know that isn’t the breeder’s actual e-mail address?
They set up Yahoo & Hotmail accounts that are free and quickly disposable. One sure fire way to know the ad is fake, they list apparent high-quality kittens for under $500 so that you will feel like you are getting an awesome kitty at a rock bottom price.
Remember what your mama always told you, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!”
Always visit the breeder’s website and contact them through there, not on a classified pet site.
Keep in mind when contacting a cat breeder. You come to them with a desire to own one of “their babies” & most likely a large piece of their heart, offending them with lowball offers will mostly guarantee they will exercise their right to refuse sale and NOT sell to you at all. Even humane societies and animal shelters charge $150- $250 for a cat or kitten.
I hope the information on this page has helped shed some light on the prices of Persian and Himalayan kittens.
Each of our kittens has a list price on their individual page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Due to the enormous amount of request for additional digital photos to be taken (Even though the ones posted on our site are clear, in focus and nicely displayed) we now charge for this service. Updated and or additional digital photos start at $300. This includes “casual – nothing fancy pictures.” This fee is to be paid in full before pictures being taken and does NOT come off the price of the kitten; it is for the digital photos only. Sorry, we do not offer cell phone pictures. E-Mail us HERE if you would like to purchase additional digital photos. Unfortunately, we have been in the business for so many years we have discovered that some cat breeders will price their kittens on their own confidence level in the kittens they are selling so, always listen to your heart…is whispers, so listen carefully.
