Kitty Litter

We use Tidy Cats Instant Action Unscented Non-Clumping Clay Cat Litter. We don’t like to use the clumping kind of kitty litter because it tends to stick to the long Persian/Himalayan fur and make an awful mess.

Here is the type of litter pan our kitties are used to, a “Van Ness Large Litter Pan.” Click HERE to order.

A Gentle Reminder About Diet & Litter

We kindly ask that you do not change your kitten’s food, litter, or litter pan during the first three months after bringing them home. Sudden changes during this important adjustment period can lead to unnecessary stress, anxiety, digestive upset, and even temporary litter pan issues.

Your kitten is learning an entirely new world—new smells, new sounds, new routines, and new people. Maintaining consistency with their diet and litter setup provides a sense of familiarity and security, allowing them to settle in with confidence and ease.

Supporting a Smooth Transition

Transitioning from one home to another can be challenging for pets of any age, but especially for kittens. Providing extra immune support during this time can make a meaningful difference in how smoothly that transition unfolds.

With the addition of essential daily vitamins and minerals, a kitten’s body is better equipped to manage stress, support immune health, and adapt comfortably to change. A strong immune system helps protect against stress-related illnesses and supports overall well-being during this critical period.

These daily supplements are a huge favorite in our cattery—our kittens eagerly enjoy them each day. Incorporating a daily vitamin is a simple yet powerful way to invest in your kitten’s long-term health, comfort, and resilience.
