If happiness had four little paws, we’re pretty sure it would look a whole lot like Roo.
Roo is a gorgeous shaded golden tabby Exotic Shorthair Persian kitten with one of those personalities that makes you smile the minute he enters the room. He is happy, curious, affectionate, confident, and just goofy enough to keep everyone entertained.
And make no mistake—Roo is still very much a kitten! He has plenty of adorable kitten antics ahead of him: chasing toys across the room, pouncing on things that aren’t actually moving, investigating every new box, getting the zoomies, tripping over his own feet, and finding entertainment in things the rest of us never even notice. This little guy wakes up ready to enjoy his day!
Roo loves exploring and is usually one of the first to investigate a new toy, an unfamiliar sound, or anything interesting happening around the nursery. He approaches life with bright-eyed curiosity and confidence, and watching him discover the world is half the fun of having him around.
He’s also naturally hilarious. One minute Roo is stalking a toy with the seriousness of a mighty jungle cat, and the next he miscalculates his pounce and looks around as though nobody saw a thing. His funny expressions, playful antics, and silly little moments keep us laughing every day.
But Roo isn’t all play. Beneath that playful kitten personality is an incredibly sweet, affectionate little boy. Once his latest adventure is over, he is more than happy to settle in for some love, curl up nearby, or hang out with his people. He has a beautiful balance of playful kitten energy and genuine affection.
And then there are those eyes. We call them Roo’s “pick me up” eyes. He has the sweetest way of looking directly at you as though he can see straight into your soul. Pair those eyes with his chubby cheeks, round teddy-bear face, plush little body, and beautiful shaded golden tabby coat, and this boy is almost impossible to resist!
Being an Exotic Shorthair Persian gives Roo another wonderful advantage. You get so much of that irresistible Persian appearance and personality wrapped up in a plush, velvety, easy-maintenance coat. More time for playing and cuddling, and much less time spent maintaining a long coat!
We’re actually a little surprised this sweet boy is still here.
Sometimes we think the most special kittens have to wait a little longer for their person to find them. Whoever that person is, they’re getting one incredibly fun little boy. Roo still has so much kittenhood ahead of him and so many firsts to share with his new family. He still has toys to discover, beds to claim, rooms to explore, silly habits to invent, and countless cuddles, zoomies, and funny stories waiting to happen.

We have tried many different litter pans and found the basic Van Ness large litter box works best for kitties since we dump and bleach all our litter pans daily.
When you bring your new kitten home, it’s essential to set up one special room just for them—their home base room.
We try to teach our cats not to scratch rugs or carpet, so it’s best to offer appealing scratching alternatives like sisal or carpet-covered scratchers to avoid confusing your cat and protect your floors.
