Every once in a while, we have a kitten who figures out very early in life that being ridiculously cute can get you pretty much anything you want.
Mochi has figured this out. 😂
This sweet boy is a beautiful Shaded Golden Tabby, with the warmest golden coat, the prettiest little tabby markings, and honestly one of the cutest faces we have ever seen. There is something about his big, expressive eyes and that innocent little expression that makes you want to scoop him up every time you walk past him.
And Mochi knows it.
He has perfected this little look where he tilts his face up at you and just…stares. No meowing. No demanding. He simply looks at you as though he cannot imagine why you haven’t already stopped whatever you’re doing to pick him up.
The other day I was trying to get something done around the house when Mochi came over and sat right beside my feet. I told him, “Not right now, Mochi.”
He looked up at me.
I kept working.
He moved a little closer…and looked up again.
I lasted maybe another 30 seconds. 😂
The next thing I knew, I was sitting there holding him while everything I was supposed to be doing waited.
And Mochi?
He curled up completely content, like he knew that was exactly how this little negotiation was going to end. 🤎
That’s what makes this boy so special. Mochi doesn’t have to work very hard to win you over. There is just something incredibly endearing about him.
He’s sweet, affectionate, and curious, with a gentle little personality that makes you want him nearby. He enjoys his kitten adventures and playtime, but he also genuinely loves being loved. He’s one of those babies who makes ordinary moments around the house feel a little sweeter simply because he’s there.
And then there’s that FACE.
Good luck telling him no.
I can already picture Mochi following his person around the house, appearing whenever he hears a cabinet open, sitting beside them while they work, and using those beautiful eyes to convince them that whatever they’re doing can surely wait another five minutes.
There are kittens you choose because they’re beautiful.
And then there are kittens who somehow make you feel chosen, too.
We think Mochi might be one of those. 🤎
